Ways to Practice Discipleship

- Start your day with a good additude--Let's face it. If you wake up on the wrong side of bed you're gonna stay there all day. So if you start your day off happy and cheerful you have a good chance of staying that way all day. (Of course, there's always exceptions!) So tell yourself that you're gonna have a good day!
- Pray for people--What's the best way you can help anybody? Stumped? Pray for them! By praying for them you are allowing God to take hold and give them exactly what they need. So pray for everybody, whether you know them or not. Pray for the baby you saw at the mall, the guy you saw on television that used the Lord's name in vain, someone sick you saw when you were at the doctor, your family and friends, and all those people who don't know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
- Invite a friend to church--If you have some friends that don't know Jesus, why not invite them to church. All they can do is say no. And if they do say no, just casually say okay on go on your way. Then when you have the time you can just pray for them. Then after you give God some time, invite them back to church!
- Help out at an outreach place--This can be anything from a soup-kitchen to a mission event. It doesn't matter what it is just do it!
- Read your bible--If you plan on trying to reach people for Christ, you better know your stuff. Just like you have to be able to speak spanish to teach someone else, you have to know about Christ to tell others about him. So study up, so you'll be ready when the time comes.
- Practice Random Acts of Kindness--This is really simple! Just go and do stuff for people randomly. This could be as simple as opening the door for someone or picking up stuff that someone dropped. It doesn't have to be complicated!
